Mid-size growing perennial shrub with small pink thistle flowers that turn to violet colored berries. Best results in full sun (4-6 hours min) to half day sun. This shrub/tree or vine will reach up to 6 feet tall and wide. Drought tolerant once established. Deciduous in Winter, but will leaf out on old wood. Excellent garden plant with attractive red stems. Known to attract birds, butterflies and hummingbirds. Prune to shape. Caution: Berries can be Poisonous if ingested.
