This herbaceous shrub is known for it's showy blue/purple thistle flowers. Full sun to half day sun is ideal. Multiple, small flowers appear in late Spring and continue through out the year. Drought tolerant in the ground once established or can take regular garden water (likes good drainage) . Great for hillsides, parkways and containers. Prune after each flush of flowers to shape. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.
