This velvet leaf succulent is great for a soft texture in the garden. Gray green brown tipped soft leaves are up all year forming a large shrub over time. Long stalks topped with red brown bunches of pale yellow flowers appear in early Spring. Morning sun afternoon shade is ideal in warmer areas. Prune flower stalks away once blooms are finished and any brown leaves through out the year. Tolerates poor soils and is drought tolerant once established. Can be sensitive to frost in colder climates. Attracts birds, butterflies and hummingbirds.
