This fruiting cactus is great for any drought tolerant landscapes or eatable gardens. Cylindrical blue green columns can get up to 6 feet tall and up to 8 inches wide creating a multi-branched, tree like shape over time. Small white thistle flowers appear in Summer that turn into an eatable berry fruit. Try not to water too much in winter to prevent root rot. Great for xeriscapes, hillsides and large container plantings. Can tolerate colder climates and is fire resistant.
