This Subtropical perennial is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds into your shade garden. Large glossy green leaves are up all year, dark red flower bracts appear in Spring and continue to Fall. Morning sun, afternoon shade is ideal for this shrub. Drought tolerant in the ground once established or can take regular garden water. Prune hard in early Spring and late Fall to shape.
