This eatable prickly pear cactus is a great addition to any large drought tolerant, hillside and xeriscape gardens. Full sun to half day sun is ideal with well drained soil. Large yellow flowers appear in Spring turning into prickly pear fruit by Fall. Drought tolerant in the ground once established, be sure not to over water in Winter. Frost hardy and fire resistant. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Fire resistant.
