This red leafed Sugar Cane is great for color in any perennial garden. Bamboo like green to red stalks are evergreen growing up to 6 feet or more in height. Canes have a sweet sugary taste. Full sun to half day sun is ideal. Drought tolerant in the ground once established or can take regular garden water. Will die down to the ground if temperatures drop too low but should return. Prune old leaves and stalks to shape.
